He currently serves as an Assistant Superintendent and Dissertation Chair for Grand Canyon University. Dr. Love continues to serve in K-12 and higher education.
Ramesh K Agarwal is the William Palm Professor of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. From 1994 to 2001, he was the Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Professor and Executive Director of the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University in Kansas. From 1978 to 1994, he worked in various scientific and managerial positions at McDonnell Douglas Research Laboratories in St. Louis. He became the Program Director and McDonnell Douglas Fellow in 1990. He received PhD in Aeronautical Sciences from Stanford University in 1975, MS in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1969 and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 1968. He is the author and coauthor of over 500 publications and serves on the editorial board of 20+ journals. He has given many plenary, keynote and invited lectures at various national and international conferences worldwide. He is a Fellow of AAAS, ASME, AIAA, IEEE, SAE and SME.

Neamul Ahsan Noman Khandoker is a Senior Lecturer in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Curtin University, Malaysia. He obtained his PhD, MPhil, and B.Sc. Engineering degrees all in mechanical engineering from Monash University, Australia; RMIT University, Australia; and BUET, Bangladesh respectively. Dr. Khandoker aims for lifelong learning and developing a career as a successful engineering educator and researcher. His key areas of strength are desire for continuous improvements; strong background in the principles of mechanical engineering, ability to grasp new concepts and methodologies quickly, efficiently plan, direct and co-ordinate the activities of engineering teaching and research with a particular focus on application of solid mechanics and FEM in material characterisation, mechanical design and advanced manufacturing processes. He has been fortunate to have secured several federal competitive research grants in his fields of expertise from Malaysian government. He is an active researcher publishing research articles regularly in indexed journals.
Nicolas H. Younan is currently the Department Head and James Worth Bagley Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Mississippi State University. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Mississippi State University, in 1982 and 1984, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Ohio University in 1988. Dr. Younan’s research interests include signal processing and pattern recognition. He has been involved in the development of advanced signal processing and pattern recognition algorithms for data mining, data fusion, feature extraction and classification, and automatic target recognition/identification. Dr. Younan has published over 300 papers in journals, refereed conference proceedings, and book chapters. He has served as the General Chair and Editor for the 4th IASTED International Conference on Signal and Image Processing, Co-Editor for the 3rd International Workshop on the Analysis of Multi-Temporal Remote Sensing Images, Guest Editor, Sensors Journal, Remote Sensing, Electronics, Pattern Recognition Letters, and JSTARS, and Co-Chair for the Workshop on Pattern Recognition for Remote sensing (2008-2010). He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing society, serving on two technical committees: Image Analysis and Data Fusion, and Earth Science Informatics (previously Data Archive and Distribution). In particular, the main objective of my work is to mitigate the local climate change, urban heat island and decrease the temperature in cities, b) Decrease the energy consumption of the buildings sector and c) Eradicate energy poverty in developed and developing countries. I am working on the development and application of innovative mitigation materials to counterbalance the impact of urban heat island in cities, the development of energy efficient heat dissipation technologies and the adaptation of the urban energy systems to face the challenge of local and climate change. I have designed and optimized, innovative materials for the urban built environment, including cutting edge chromic materials, highly reflective coatings for buildings and urban structures, nanotechnological components, and energy dissipation systems of very high efficiency. Most of the developed systems and materials are commercialized by major international industries and are used in thousands of projects around the world. I have designed, optimized, supervised and monitored more than 50 successful large scale urban mitigation projects using advanced technological systems to decrease the ambient temperature and improve the outdoor environmental quality. Most of the projects are in Europe, Asia and Australia, where I am scientific coordinator of the Darwin, Alice Springs and Western Sydney mitigation Projects. Almost all projects are fully monitored and analyzed in details. It is documented that the achieved peak temperature decrease was close to 2,5 C. All projects were based on the use of advanced reflective materials for pavements and buildings, use of greenery, advanced water systems and dissipation systems based on the use of a low temperature atmospheric sink like the ground or the water. We are developing more advanced and efficient materials for mitigation purposes based on the combined use of elastocaloric, thermoelectric and quantum dots components. Preliminary assessments shown that the cooling potential of the developed materials, when applied in the urban environment, may exceed 4 C.In parallel, together with my research colleagues we work on appropriate methodologies to evaluate the impact of climate change on energy, peak electricity demand, health, comfort and economy. We have developed and applied in real and large-scale projects, several methodologies to assess the impact of the urban heat island. In parallel, we have developed methodologies to assess the impact of urban mitigation technologies in cities. We have evaluated the impact of the urban heat island as well as of the proposed mitigation technologies in energy, peak electricity demand, comfort and health in the cities of Darwin, Sydney, Alice Springs in Australia and Athens, Greece.In parallel, I am working on the design and development of zero energy settlements and zero energy buildings. My main technological and scientific contribution addresses the area of passive and hybrid cooling of buildings, intelligent energy management, indoor environmental quality and advanced building materials. I have designed and applied many advanced energy conservation technologies and renewable energy systems in buildings and open spaces. I have designed, optimized, supervised and monitor more than 500 low energy or zero energy buildings in the world. I have performed research and design some advanced passive and hybrid cooling systems, envelope materials and daylight systems. The recent years, I am working on the development and optimization of zero energy settlements.I have worked in more than 500 major Low Energy Building Projects : (Major Projects : Fatima Sanctuary Portugal, Museum of Acropolis, Sport Facilities in London, Athens Olympic Village, Zero Energy Buildings in Cyprus, Zero Emission Settlements in Europe, etc

Prof. Neritan Shkodrani has been the Head of Department of Civil Engineering, at Civil Engineering Faculty, Polytechnic University of Tirana, Albania, from 2008 to 2014 and actually is the Vice Dean of Civil Engineering Faculty, Polytechnic University of Tirana, Albania. He obtained his BSc and MSc. (Eng.) at Polytechnic University of Tirana, Faculty of Civil Engineering, a Post-Graduate Diploma in "Earthquake Engineering" at International Institute of Seismology and Earthquake Engineering (IISEE) in Tsukuba, Japan and a Master of "Earthquake Disaster Mitigation" at National Graduated Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo, Japan. In 2008 he obtained the Doctor of Sciences Degree at Polytechnic University of Tirana, Faculty of Civil Engineering. Mr. Shkodrani became involved in several important civil and geotechnical projects and a major part of his works is related to interpretation of in situ testing methods and direct application of the results in several geotechnical calculations. From 2014 deeply involved with CPT test, including investigations in site and interpretation of test results. Chair and co-chair of some International Conferences and Symposiums organized in Tirana, and also member of editorial board of some national and international journals in the field of civil engineering. Ali CHEKNANE is a full-Professor at the Amar Telidji University of Laghouat-Algeria. He has completed his PhD in physics. Ali is having 20 years teaching graduate and post-graduate teaching experience at the university as temporary, associated and permanent position. He has published many papers in various journals and conference proceedings on renewable energy subjects. He published more than 50 journal papers, did more than 40 conference presentations and served as an editorial board member for several technical and organizing committees for international conferences. He has many years’ experience of supervising several postgraduate and graduate students. He got an incentive award from “Centre de Development des Energies Renouvelables- CDER”. He was awarded for the best publication in physics in Algeria from the ANDRU agency in 2008. Dr. Piotr Margonski is a Senior Researcher, National Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Gdynia, Poland. Head of Department of Fisheries Oceanography and Marine Ecology (2007-2014). Main scientific interests: (i) recruitment processes of Baltic commercial fish species and environmental and climatic drivers of stock-recruitment relationships, (ii) trophic interactions between zooplankton and ichthyoplankton, and (iii) implementation of the EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive which includes development and testing of indicators.
